Young artists of the Gladstone Region have the chance again, to get creative as Gladstone Regional Council invites primary school aged children to put pen, paint, collage or any other medium to A4 paper during the 2018 Celebrate Australia Primary School Art Competition.

This is the twelfth year of the competition encouraging students to think about an aspect of Australia they believe is really important to them.

Artists may submit one entry each, accompanied by a completed entry form, in either Section One: Prep to Year 2 or Section Two: Year 3 to Year 6. Entry forms are available for downloading below.

To assist budding artists with their entries three FREE workshops with local artist Marion Hughes, are on offer. Basic materials are provided just bring your art gear and great ideas.

Each workshop will be held from 10.30am to 12pm at the following venues:

Monday, 11 December 2017, Baffle Creek Community Centre

Tuesday, 12 December 2017, Mt Larcom Hall

Wednesday, 13 December 2017, Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum
