Exhibition Changeover Reveals Three New Exhibits

Fresh to the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum are three brand new exhibitions, 'Our Priceless Past 2016', 'Intercity Images: Gladstone Saiki Photograph Exchange Combined Images 2016', and 'Rule of Thirds'.

'Our Priceless Past 2016' features oral histories and memorabilia from ten Special Seniors, prepared and presented by selected Discovery Christian College students.  The annual exhibition is a Gallery & Museum initiative and has been held in conjunction with The Observer and Ergon Energy for the last eighteen years. Be sure to visit before October 1.

Another annual favourite is 'Intercity Images: Combined Images 2016'. This exhibition is a joint display of fifty Japanese and Australian photographs by Saiki City and Gladstone Region citizens. The photographic cultural exchange is presented in conjunction with the Gladstone Saiki Sister City Advisory Committee and is supported by the Gladstone Regional Council.  On display now until October 8 - Mark the calendar for its official launch: 6pm, Friday September 2.

Also on display now until October 8, and officially opening on the same night, is the local heritage exhibition, 'Rule of Thirds'. This display takes a closer look at cameras used in the past and the photographs they produced, from 1869 to 1980. These images and objects are from the Gallery & Museum's historical archives and are guaranteed to fascinate both young and old.

RSVP to Gallery & Museum on 4976 6766 or email gragm@gladstonerc.qld.gov.au to attend these exhibition launches on September 2.
