Drawing Life for Kids on Tour: Celebrating Artists
Gladstone Region families are invited to participate in Drawing Life for Kids on Tour, a free program highlighting the creative expression of drawing. The 'On Tour' program is to be held at the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum on Saturday 14 January 2012 from 10am - 2pm as part of Matisse: Drawing Life, on display at Brisbane’s Gallery of Modern Art.
Drawing Life for Kids on Tour will comprise of an exciting range of interrelated drawing activities designed to stimulate children's imaginations and be enjoyed with family and friends.
Participants will receive a copy of a drawing journal drawn from the Children's Art Centre publication Drawing Life for Kids: My Art Journal. The richly illustrated 'On Tour' journal features 18 drawing activities which have been approved by kids for kids. The journal invites children to record their daily lives, aspirations and imaginings, to treasure forever.
A series of four full-colour drawing templates focusing on celebratory moments in a child's life including birthdays and sleepovers, will also be available for young visitors to draw on and share with family and friends.
